What are some good gifts for a reader

I’m sorry if this goes against the forum rules and gets deleted.

I’m not looking for book recommendations. I need gift ideas for someone who loves to read. Since I’m not a reader myself, I’m hoping to hear about small gifts related to reading that you all have found enjoyable.

If this does not fit here, I totally understand. Can anyone suggest a forum that might help? Google hasn’t given me anything useful.

I have a book map that looks like a world map but features imaginary places from various books. I ordered it from: Book Map - Street map made up entirely from book titles – Dorothy. It’s a poster, and I framed it. I love it.

You can also create a custom book with personal messages for the reader. As a book lover, I would appreciate a gift like that. Check out https://lovebookonline.com.

That is so cool.

I’m definitely proud to own it. I always show it off to visitors like, ‘…and check out my book map!’

I laminated and framed it to keep it safe. It’s pretty amazing to look at!

The book map looks fantastic!

How about a book light?

And get some batteries to go along with it.

This is a good idea! I think she might already have one, but a spare could be useful.

I use a dimmable headlamp. It’s hand-free and doesn’t clip onto the book or e-reader. Mine is USB rechargeable, so no need to buy batteries often. It’s handy for other things too.

I was also going to suggest a headlamp! I originally got mine for camping but it’s nice to have it next to my bed.

You wouldn’t need it if you read ebooks.

A gift card to their favorite bookstore could be great.

She’ll likely get a B&N gift card unless I find a really special local bookstore. I haven’t seen many around here.

Check out Powell’s Books. They have an excellent selection.

@Kit
She used to live near there! I believe she’s mentioned it before. I think she’d really like that!

Actually, I just found two independent bookstores I will visit this weekend.

Thanks to everyone who replied. You all have provided some excellent suggestions!

Consider a gift card to her local independent bookstore.

I’m struggling with that. I’ve been giving her Barnes and Noble gift cards since we don’t have an independent bookstore where I live. I will look into this though since she loves local stores and dreams of running one herself.
